Introducing the KMP team.


Heather Ricks. Heather is the Project Manager of Kelvin Media Productions. She has been working with young people since graduating from Sheffield University in July 2000.  Heather has worked for KMP since Feb 06 and has managed the project since Nov 2006.

Reporting to a Board of Trustees, the role of Manager involves interviewing, recruiting, training, supervising and appraising staff and volunteers; in addition, Heather is ultimately responsible for numerous students.  Heather is responsible for all aspects of HR within the company, updating, reviewing and creating office policies, chairing monthly staff meetings and coordinating the projects operating within the premises.  This includes completing regular financial reports for Funders and Trustees - checking that outputs and targets are being achieved.

Additionally, the role involves being responsible for the budget and all aspects of finance within the company, which also includes obtaining additional funding.  Heather is trained in all aspects of examination procedure including invigilation and was recently approved to register as an ASDAN Coordinator for CoPE Level 1  and 2.

John Sulph-Johnson. John is our VSP Tutor, E2e Co-Ordinator and Subject learning Coach, he has a background in fashion and has previously designed and produced his own urban fashion line.

John has been employed as a tutor with KMP for the last 2 years working with learners from 14 – 19 yrs old. He has studied the Certificate in Youth Work at level 2, Accredited Team Teach Foundation in Positive Handling within a Holistic Framework, Pebble Pad Learning, Adobe Photoshop Elements and a City and Guilds level 3 in Preparing to Teach in The Lifelong Learning Sector (PTTLS).

John is a coach with Sheffield United Academy where he is working towards the F.A Certificate in Coaching level 2.

Maud.  Maud is a VSP Tutor at KMP.She has been working with young people for the last ten years, mainly in France where she originates from, and for the last three years at KMP. She has a Masters degree in Fine Arts and has studied photographs and video as her main subjects. She now enjoys passing her skills onto young people.

She has studied the Certificate in Youth Work at level 2, Accredited Team Teach Foundation in Positive Handling within a Holistic Framework, she had completed a dyslexia and special needs training and a City and Guilds level 3 in Preparing to Teach in The Lifelong Learning Sector (PTTLS).

Ezekiel Roberts. Ezekiel is our Futureproof Music project & Support Fund Tutor.

Ross Merryweather. Ross is the Project Adminstrator at KMP. He joined the team in April 2007 to work alongside Heather in the office. Ross is also the UK Online Centres Tutor supporting adult learners to get online and use computers for the first time.

He provides a wide range of administrative support on a daily basis, liases with funders and partner organisations, manages the petty cash account, and handles EMA payments for students.

Ross recently completed a postgraduate diploma in Cultural Policy and Management, which provided him with an insight into UK cultural policy, funding and fundraising, promotion and marketing, and successful management of not for profit/third sector organisations.
